75% Cabernet Sauvignon; 15% Merlot; 12% Cabernet Franc; 1% Petit Verdot.The team here felt both Cabernets were so good that as much as possible went into the grand vin so there is less Merlot – and it shows. Although the wine has hardly started its élevage (about 20 months in 100% new oak), it already shows excellence and a high-quality bouquet. With intensely ripe black and blue fruits, sweet tobacco and an appealing note of iodine, all is glossily packaged. The tannins are especially fine-grained.
